Farmers’ Golf Day

Our annual Farmers’ Golf Day is held in early June and brings together local farming families, their employees, Moe Vet Centre staff and representatives from veterinary suppliers. Held at Trafalgar Golf Course, this long-running event provides a great chance to have a hit, mingle over lunch and discuss current issues in the dairy world. Prizes are awarded for various achievements on the day.

Over the years we have had support from many veterinary industry companies and we would like to thank Intervet, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Bomac, Troy, Provet, Norbrook, Jurox, Merial, Elanco and Fonterra.

Equine Seminar

Our annual equine seminar night helps to raise funds for the Moe branch of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). We have a strong connection with the RDA, having founded and helped to organise the Blue Rock Classic over 17 years. This hugely popular team event was a five discipline endurance challenge held at Blue Rock Lake in Willow Grove. It has raised over $150,000 for the RDA and other community organisations.

Previous seminars have focused on mare reproduction, the management of colic, worm control, equine dentistry and hoof care.

We thank the equine specialists from The Equine Centre Werribee and the Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital who have made a great contribution to these evenings.
